Reports have revealed that officials from English club Manchester United are exploring the possibility of holding a friendly match during the current mid-season in Saudi Arabia to raise funds due to the absence of European competitions this season.

According to sources, United officials are considering options to generate some revenue, and due to the vacancy of midweek slots because of their non-participation in the Champions League, Europa League, or Conference League, they have the ability to travel abroad for a profitable friendly match mid-season.

The sources confirmed that Manchester United is negotiating with officials in Saudi Arabia regarding a match that would bring them together once again with the club's legend, Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo, who is currently the captain and forward of Al-Nassr.

The sources revealed that these negotiations are being led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, one of the owners of Manchester United, amid the financial struggles faced by the Red Devils.
