Deco, the former Barcelona legend and current sporting director of the club, met last night in Barcelona with the agents of Dani Olmo and Juan Garcia, to review the midfielder's situation and follow up on Juan Garcia's injury after undergoing surgery a few days ago, according to the Spanish newspaper "Sport".

The newspaper clarified that the agents spent the afternoon with Olmo, whose contract extends until 2029, and with the absence of Ferran and Gavi, the player has started to take on a larger role in the attacking midfield position, before they had dinner with Deco.

On another note, President Joan Laporta was unable to attend the meeting, as he was simultaneously in a meeting with the club's medical services director.

In this context, the same source indicated that Hans Flick, Barcelona's coach, considers Olmo a key player in the upcoming phase, and he is expected to receive more minutes in light of the absence of Ferran and Gavi, after the player completed two full matches against Oviedo and Real Sociedad recently.

The newspaper confirmed that Barcelona's upcoming match against Paris Saint-Germain will be an opportunity for Olmo to showcase his abilities, with key players missing from both teams.
