French club Marseille achieved a significant victory over their Dutch guest Ajax Amsterdam with a score of 4-0, in the second round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, in a match held at the Velodrome Stadium.

Igor Paichao opened the scoring for Marseille in the sixth minute, and added the second goal shortly after, before Mason Greenwood scored the third goal in the 26th minute, leading the team to a halftime break with a comfortable three-goal lead.

At the beginning of the second half, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang added the fourth goal in the 52nd minute, sealing the match for the French side, while Ajax players failed to score any goals throughout the match.

With this significant victory, Marseille's points tally rose to 3, placing them seventh in the standings, while Ajax remains without any points in 35th place.
