Abdul Ghani Shahed Addresses a Request to His Players Before Facing Al-Nassr
Al-Zawraa Club is preparing for its anticipated match against Al-Nassr Saudi Arabia tomorrow, Wednesday, in the second round of the AFC Champions League 2 football competition at Al-Zawraa Stadium in Baghdad, where the team aims to achieve a positive result that ensures its continued competition for the top spot in Group B and enhances its continental presence.
Abdul Ghani Shahed, the coach of Al-Zawraa, said: 'The team has prepared well for the match against Al-Nassr Saudi Arabia, and the players are in perfect physical and technical readiness. Our goal is to present a great match that befits the name of the club and delights its fans, whom we expect to attend in large numbers to support the team during the upcoming match.'
He added: 'We fully understand the strength of Al-Nassr and what it possesses in terms of distinguished elements and high technical experience, so we aim to deliver a performance that achieves a positive result, focusing on controlling the flow of the match and possessing the ball, in addition to tactical discipline on the field to achieve our goal of the three points.'
He further stated: 'Achieving a positive result against teams like Gawha from India was an important step for us, but facing Al-Nassr will be completely different; it requires high concentration and mental and technical readiness to achieve the best results and continue competing for qualification to the next round of the tournament.'
He continued: 'We keep our main goal in mind, which is to present a complete team performance, and any player who performs well will remain in the starting lineup, while those who regress in their performance must reassess themselves, as the competition for a starting position in the team is ongoing throughout the season.'
He concluded: 'We strive to maintain the momentum of the team in the Asian tournament and work to exploit every opportunity to please the loyal Al-Zawraa fans, knowing that the ultimate goal is to be at the top of the group and advance to the second round of the tournament with confidence and strength. We are ready to face the upcoming challenges in the best possible way.'
