Monday 29-09-2025
Imad Al-Nahas, the coach of Al Ahly, spoke about his team's victory over Zamalek in the league.

Al Ahly achieved a 2-1 victory over Zamalek in a match played on Monday evening in the ninth round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Al-Nahas said in statements after the match: "Congratulations to all of us, and this is a culmination of our efforts during the current season. We talked to the players about the necessity of staying calm during the match and we prepared for the possibility of being behind in the score against Zamalek."

He added: "Big matches are played on small details, and luck was on our side as we scored the first goal, and at that moment we returned to the match strongly, and God willing, this match will be a good start."

He continued: "If Sherif did not score today, he created chances, and for me, that is better than missing several opportunities. It is rare for an Al Ahly striker to last until the 85th minute this season."

He clarified: "There are no excuses; we were prepared with more than one scenario to deal with the match and its events, and thank God everything was calculated, and God crowned our efforts with victory."

He continued: "The fitness coach has started to identify existing problems and find solutions for them."

He concluded: "Today's match was the best performance since the beginning of the season, and the level was good in both halves. If the result had been better, I would have brought in the emerging striker Hamza Abdelkarim."
