Al Ahly achieved a thrilling victory over their rivals Zamalek with a score of 2-1 in a match held on Monday evening as part of the ninth round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Hossam Abdel-Maguid, a Zamalek player, opened the scoring with a penalty in the 32nd minute, but Al Ahly managed to score two goals through Hussein El-Shahat in the 71st minute and Mahmoud Trezeguet from a penalty in the 78th minute.

The match saw Zamalek star Aadi Al-Dabbagh suffer an injury in the first half, leading to Nasser Mansi coming on as his replacement.

Additionally, Al Ahly player Taher Mohamed Taher also suffered an injury in the second half, prompting coach Emad Nasr to substitute him with Hussein El-Shahat.

With this result, Al Ahly's points tally rises to 15, placing them third in the league standings, while Zamalek remains at 17 points at the top of the table.
