The Saudi Ministry of Sports and the Spanish Football Federation announced that the city of Jeddah will host the Spanish Super Cup 2026, in a new edition that brings together the elite clubs of Spain at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.
The tournament will feature four clubs: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Athletic Bilbao, where Real Madrid is set to face Atletico Madrid, while Barcelona will take on Bilbao.
The competitions will kick off on January 7, 2026, with the first semifinal match, followed by the second semifinal match on January 8, while the final match is scheduled for January 11, 2026.
This hosting is part of the Kingdom's efforts to enhance its presence on the global sports map and make it a primary destination for major tournaments, within the framework of the "Saudi Vision 2030" which aims to diversify the economy and enhance the Kingdom's status in various fields, including the sports sector.
