Chelsea Clarifies Its Position on Dismissing Mariska
Monday 29-09-2025
The British newspaper "Daily Mail" revealed that Chelsea's management is not considering dismissing Italian head coach Enzo Mariska from his position, despite the team's rocky start in the current 2025/2026 season.

The newspaper explained that the recent losses of the Blues were influenced by red cards, as the team played the matches against Manchester United and Brighton with ten players after the expulsions of Robert Sanchez and Trevoh Chalobah, which contributed to their consecutive defeats in the Premier League.

The report added that Chelsea has lost only 5 matches in the last six months, 4 of which involved red cards, which has increased the difficulty of the task for Mariska.

Despite the fans' criticisms of his failure to manage the last two matches, Chelsea's management still trusts their coach, especially with the absence of influential players like Cole Palmer and Liam Delap, along with other injuries.

The management believes that Mariska proved his competence last season after leading the team to the semi-finals and winning both the Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
