The German coach Jurgen Klopp, former Liverpool manager, has entered the list of candidates to take over the leadership of Saudi Ittihad following the departure of Frenchman Laurent Blanc.

This came after the federation officially announced the termination of the contractual relationship with Laurent Blanc and his assistant staff, appointing Hassan Khalifa as the temporary coach until a new foreign technical staff is recruited.

Saudi press reports indicated that the management of Ittihad Club has begun its efforts to sign a new coach to lead the first football team after the termination of Laurent Blanc's contract.

According to the press reports, the name of the German Jurgen Klopp has emerged as one of the top coaching options on the table of Ittihad.

It is worth noting that Klopp currently holds the position of Global Football President at Red Bull, overseeing clubs like Leipzig, New York Red Bulls, and Austrian Salzburg.

The list of candidates to succeed Blanc as coach of Ittihad also includes other global names such as Spaniard Xavi Hernandez, his compatriot Unai Emery, and Italian Luciano Spalletti, with Portuguese Sergio Conceicao having lower chances.
