Chilean Manuel Pellegrini, coach of Real Betis, praised the performance of Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat during the press conference preceding the team's match against Osasuna in the seventh round of La Liga, scheduled for Sunday.

In response to a question about the possibility of using Amrabat as a center-back to compensate for absences, Pellegrini confirmed that the player "performs excellently in his natural position in midfield, and he cannot be held responsible for defensive mistakes."

The Chilean coach added: "The team has other defensive solutions like Ricardo Rodriguez, and what we need is to improve the harmony between the defenders, not to change Amrabat's position."

Pellegrini also expressed his great confidence in the Moroccan midfielder, considering him a key pillar within the squad, highlighting that his stability in his position allows him to give his best and contribute to the team's balance.

It is worth noting that Amrabat is playing this season with Real Betis on loan from Turkish club Fenerbahçe.
