UEFA has appointed the French international referee Clément Turpin to officiate the match between English club Liverpool and Turkish club Galatasaray in the second round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, scheduled to take place next Tuesday.

The match will be held at Rams Park, the home ground of Galatasaray, at 10 PM Cairo time, as Liverpool seeks to continue its European journey after a hard-fought win in the first round against Atletico Madrid with a score of 3-2.

French referee Jérôme Brisard will take on the role of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) during the match, in a full European officiating team aiming to ensure the highest levels of accuracy in officiating decisions, especially given the importance of the match for both teams.

Liverpool enters the match after suffering its first loss in the English Premier League this season against Crystal Palace with a score of 2-1, while Galatasaray aims to take advantage of the home ground and crowd factors to achieve a positive result against the Reds.
