Barcelona announced the squad for the match against Real Sociedad this Sunday at 7:30 PM Cairo time at the Montjuïc Stadium, with the absence of young left-back Alejandro Balde, according to Spanish newspaper "Sport".

Balde, who suffered a minor muscle injury in the hamstring on September 3rd, has missed four matches against Valencia, Newcastle, Getafe, and Real Oviedo since then. Although he returned to group training in recent days, German coach Hans Flick decided to exercise caution and postpone his participation in the upcoming match in the Champions League.

Barcelona is preparing for a tough match against Paris Saint-Germain, the defending Champions League titleholder, next Wednesday in the second round of the group stage, which is considered one of the Catalan team's biggest challenges at the start of their European campaign this season.

In light of Balde's absence, Flick relied on Gerard Martin, who has shown impressive form recently, in addition to the participation of young player Jofre Torrent to distribute the effort among the team members.

Balde's return against Paris Saint-Germain is expected to provide a significant boost to the team, especially with the continued absence of Marc-André ter Stegen, Juan Garcia, Gavi, Raphinha, and Fermín López.
