
Fabio Cannavaro is a Candidate to Coach Al Ahly
Media figure Ahmed Hassan revealed a new candidate to coach Al Ahly.
He stated on the program 'Captain' on 'dmc' channel that the Italian Fabio Cannavaro, former World Player of the Year and 2006 World Cup champion, has entered the list of candidates for the position of head coach of the Reds.
He continued: 'Cannavaro has been nominated amid the stalled negotiations for a contract with Bruno Lage, and Al Ahly is considering his name especially since he has previously coached in Saudi Arabia and China.'
He added: 'Cannavaro welcomed Al Ahly's project, and his salary is expected to be around 3 million dollars along with his assistants, which fits the club's budget.'
Ahmed Hassan concluded by saying: 'Al Ahly is still in negotiations with Lage and has several names in mind as alternative plans, including Cannavaro and Fatih Terim.'
