Ateef: 90% of Al-Hilal Fans Unconvinced by Team's Performance
Ahmed Ateef, the former star of the Saudi national team, criticized Al-Hilal's performance this season.
Al-Hilal defeated Al-Akhidood 3-1 in a match played on Thursday evening in the fourth round of the Saudi Professional League.
Ateef said in television statements: "90% of Al-Hilal fans are not convinced by the levels the team is showing this season.. this is not the character of Al-Hilal, whether in possession, building play, or creating chances."
He continued: "It is natural to play in the opponent's half, but currently what is happening is the opposite; any team can dominate possession against Al-Hilal and pass the ball against them.. I'm not talking about an average team, but a team that has always been accustomed to being a champion.. If Al-Hilal continues like this, they will finish the league in fourth place."
