Real Madrid Begins Preparations for the Atletico Madrid Match
The Real Madrid team returned to training today, Thursday, in preparation for the anticipated derby match against Atletico Madrid, as part of the seventh round of La Liga, which will take place next Saturday at the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium.
The training session started with activation exercises and warm-up movements on the pitch, before the players split into groups to engage in drills focused on quick passing, pressing, and ball control. After that, the coach focused on defensive tactical aspects, concluding the session with a mini-match of 10 against 10.
At the end of the training, several players underwent individual training programs and strength exercises inside the gym, while Rudiger, Ferland Mendy, and Trent Alexander-Arnold continue their rehabilitation programs to recover from the injuries they are suffering from.
Mendy, Arnold, and Rudiger are set to miss the derby, as the injuries they are dealing with are long-term and require more time before recovery.
