French Nice Reveals Reason for Failure to Sign Moroccan Nail Al-Ainawi
Thursday 25-09-2025
The French club Nice acknowledged the difficulties of the last summer transfer period, as they were unable to complete all the planned deals due to financial limitations and circumstances beyond their control.

During the press conference following the match against Roma in the Europa League, coach Frank Hayes revealed his attempt to bring in his former player from Lens, Moroccan international Nail Al-Ainawi, stating: "Al-Ainawi was my priority in the transfer window, but it is clear that there are players we can sign and others we cannot. Al-Ainawi falls into the latter category."

The Moroccan midfielder participated in the match between his current team Roma and Nice on Wednesday evening, as part of the Europa League, which ended with a victory for the Italian team (2-1).

It is worth noting that Al-Ainawi had transferred to Roma in the last summer transfer window from Lens, in a deal worth around 25 million euros, which explains the difficulty for Nice to sign him.
