Ministry of Sports Investigates Lack of 'Organization' in Al-Orouba vs. Al-Qadisiyah Match
Prince Abdulaziz Al-Faisal, the Minister of Sports, has ordered an urgent investigation into Al-Orouba Club's failure to contract with a specialized company to manage the match against Al-Qadisiyah in the King’s Cup.
The ministry's spokesperson, Adel Al-Zahrani, confirmed that the match took place at Al-Jouf University Stadium as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, noting that Al-Orouba's management did not comply with the agreement to contract with the organizing company as previously arranged.
Al-Zahrani pointed out that this agreement was made during the coordination meeting held on Monday, September 22, in the presence of a representative from Al-Orouba Club, who signed the meeting minutes to ensure the match was organized according to regulations.
The minister emphasized the need to submit the investigation results within three days, while taking all necessary measures to ensure clubs comply with contracts with specialized companies for managing future matches.
This step comes as part of the Ministry of Sports' commitment to ensure the proper organization of matches and full compliance from all clubs participating in official tournaments to guarantee that competitions proceed correctly.
The ministry continues to closely monitor the situation, reaffirming that any similar violations will be met with strict measures to ensure the rights of teams and fans and adherence to the approved regulatory frameworks.
