Wednesday 24-09-2025
It has been decided that Brazilian Wesley Teixeira, forward for Al-Nasr, will travel to his country early Wednesday to join the Brazilian U-20 national team in preparation for the Youth World Cup, which will be hosted in Chile from September 27 to October 19, 2025.

A special source revealed to "Al-Riyadiyah" newspaper that Al-Nasr will lose the young player for up to 30 days if the Brazilian national team reaches the final match, as they are in a group that includes Morocco, Mexico, and Spain.

Wesley will miss the matches against Al-Ittihad and Al-Fateh in the fourth and fifth rounds of the Roshen Saudi League, in addition to the match against Al-Zawraa of Iraq in the AFC Champions League 2, which represents an offensive loss for the team.

The source indicated that the Brazilian striker's absence will coincide with the upcoming international break, during which the Saudi national team will play the Asian playoff qualifying for the World Cup against Indonesia and Iraq.

Since joining Al-Nasr in August 2024, Wesley has participated in 25 official matches, scoring two goals and providing three assists, with his current market value estimated at around 4 million euros according to "Transfermarkt".

On another note, left winger Abdul Rahman Ghareeb is undergoing medical examinations at the team's residence in Jeddah on Wednesday evening to determine his readiness for the classic match against Al-Ittihad after experiencing pain in the adductor muscle.
