The Iraqi Union directs the Star League clubs to celebrate National Day
The Iraqi Football Association directed the clubs of the Iraqi Star League to celebrate the Iraqi National Day, which falls on October 3rd, coinciding with the start of the fourth round of the league matches.
The federation confirmed in an official statement that the celebration of this occasion will be reflected through the raising of national flags in the stadiums and organizing activities and events that express the significance of the National Day, in accordance with the directives of the Council of Ministers.
The federation indicated that this step aims to highlight the manifestations of joy and national belonging, and to convey a message that reflects the spirit of the occasion and its importance in the hearts of Iraqis.
The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, had directed yesterday all ministries and provinces to participate in national events by raising the Iraqi flag and organizing cultural and social activities inside and outside Iraq, in a manner befitting the occasion.
Thus, the fourth round of the Iraqi league will be a distinctive station for blending the sports event with national pride.
