Jerome Boateng Retires from Football

The famous German defender Jerome Boateng has decided to retire from playing according to journalist Fabrizio Romano today, Wednesday.

The player of Ghanaian descent decided to hang up his boots after a successful career with the German national team and several clubs at the age of 37.

Romano mentioned that Boateng is currently planning for his future, and the next step is not exactly known yet.

Boateng started with Hertha Berlin, then joined Hamburg where he excelled, and then played a season with Manchester City.

His biggest experience was with Bayern Munich between 2011 and 2021, during which the player achieved great successes with the Bavarian club.

After that, Boateng played two seasons with French club Olympique Lyon, then played for Italian club Salernitana and Austrian club LASK.

It is worth noting that Boateng is one of the champions of the 2014 World Cup with the German national team.
