After Yasser Ibrahim's objections became public, the player stated on Instagram: "Congratulations to my brother, of course, and I’m happy for you, I swear, I’m not targeting Marwan at all, and my words were not directed at Marwan at all."
He added: "On the contrary, my words were for other people, and congratulations to the Al Ahly fans, and may God grant us success in what’s coming, God willing."
