Tebas Criticizes the English Premier League
Javier Tebas, the president of the Spanish La Liga, criticized the way the English Premier League operates.
Tebas said, "We are the only league with the highest number of homegrown players in our first teams, without the need to spend excessive amounts to sign players; our clubs remain competitive in European competitions... unlike the English league."
He added, "When you spend more than what you earn in revenues like the English league, you end up trading losses."
He concluded: "In Europe, the only leagues that are characterized by sustainability are the Spanish league and the German league."
