Napoli Decides to Ban Ticket Sales to Frankfurt Fans Before Champions League Match
Tuesday 23-09-2025
Michele De Bari, the governor of Naples, has issued an official decision to prohibit the sale of tickets to Eintracht Frankfurt fans for the match scheduled between the two teams in the UEFA Champions League on November 4th.

According to the website "Football Italy", the decision was made based on a recommendation from the Naples police headquarters and in accordance with the decisions of the regional committee for public order and safety issued on September 20, 2020, and includes a ban on Frankfurt residents from purchasing tickets in any of the stadium's stands.

This decision comes amid security concerns following the events that occurred during the 2023 edition of the tournament, where widespread violence erupted in the city of Naples before the second leg match, despite the ban imposed at that time on Frankfurt fans.

During those events, eight fans from both sides were arrested, several police officers were injured, cars were set on fire, and nine German fans suffered various injuries, including stabbings, prompting Italian authorities to take stricter measures this time.
