Postponement of Marseille vs Paris Match Due to Strong Storm

The French Professional League announced in an official statement that the match has been postponed to Monday at 8 PM local time, following weather warnings of a strong storm expected to hit the city of Marseille, which could pose a threat to the safety of fans and players inside the 'Vélodrome' stadium.

This decision puts Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi in an awkward position, as he will not be able to attend the Ballon d'Or ceremony organized by France Football on Monday evening, coinciding with the match time.

It is worth noting that Hakimi has made it to the final list of 30 players nominated for the Best Player in the World award for 2025, a significant achievement added to his career, but his football commitments prevented him from attending this major global event.
