Test to Determine Gavi's Injury Fate

The Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' reported that FC Barcelona is preparing to subject its young player Gavi to practical tests that simulate match situations to definitively determine his health status after he experienced pain in the meniscus of his right knee.

According to the report, Gavi will undergo a test that includes movements similar to competitive environments such as sprinting, jumping, turning, and sudden stops, under the supervision of Dr. Bruna and in coordination with knee expert Monlau.

After that, the results will be presented to the player, his family, and his agent Ivan de la Peña, to make the final decision on whether to proceed with surgery or give him the green light to return to the pitch.

Barcelona coach Hans Flick stated in a press conference: 'I hope to see him back soon, but the decision will be made later; by the beginning of next week, we will have a clearer vision and know the next step.'

The newspaper noted that the conservative treatment Gavi received showed significant improvement, but the decision for surgical intervention remains on the table and depends on the results of the final tests that will determine his near future with Barcelona.
