Al-Hilal Plans to Register Leonardo Instead of Cancelo

Reports have revealed that Al-Hilal is studying a modification to its foreign player roster following the injury of Portuguese right-back Joao Cancelo and the likelihood of his long absence from the team.

The reports indicate that after consulting with coach Simone Inzaghi, Al-Hilal's management is moving towards re-registering Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo in the local team roster and removing Cancelo, who will only participate in Asian competitions after recovering from his injury.

Sources have pointed out that this step comes in light of the confirmation of Cancelo's absence from several of Al-Hilal's matches due to his recent muscle injury.

It is worth noting that the Saudi League Association confirmed in a circular that Sunday, September 21, is the last date to approve the official rosters for Roshan League clubs after modifications, whether by adding or removing players.
