Liverpool coach Arne Slot appeared in press statements after the 2-1 victory over Everton in the fifth round of the English Premier League at Anfield.

The coach said: "I am very satisfied, considering that we played our third match in seven days, in addition to the early kickoff of the match. However, I don't care at all about the early kickoff, but I do care if we have to play on Wednesday night; we have to manage that throughout the week."

He added: "Considering all of that, winning the derby with a great performance in the first half is a good thing."

He concluded: "Scoring two goals? That happens when you are in top physical shape, but we were tired in the second half for obvious reasons. Our mentality is what kept us in the game because they didn't get another chance after their goal made it 2-1. We showed a great mentality and high quality when we were in top physical shape in the first half."
