Hussein Abdulghani Defends Al-Amri and Calls on Al-Nasr Fans to Support Him

Former star Hussein Abdulghani expressed his sympathy for Al-Nasr defender Abdulilah Al-Amri, following the fan backlash he faced recently due to rumors of his desire to move to Al-Ittihad and his lack of celebration for his teammates' goals during matches.

Al-Amri participated in Al-Nasr's significant victory over Istiklol Dushanbe with a score of five goals to nil in the first round of the group stage of the AFC Champions League 2, but he appeared distant from the celebrations on the field.

The player posted a message on his account on the platform "X", confirming that he is a professional player who respects his contract with the club, explaining that he has been going through family circumstances known to the club, emphasizing his love and appreciation for the global fans.

Abdulghani commented on this message in the program "Nadina", where he called on Al-Nasr fans to stop attacking Al-Amri, affirming that the role of the fans is to support rather than create crises that could threaten the stability of the team.

He added that holding any player accountable for their shortcomings is solely the responsibility of the club's management, pointing out that Al-Amri's lack of celebration does not warrant all this controversy, and he should be given the confidence and time to regain his balance.

It is worth mentioning that Al-Amri spent last season on loan with Al-Ittihad, where he succeeded in winning the Saudi League and King’s Cup titles, before returning this summer to Al-Nasr, at a time when the Al-Nasr management rejected Al-Ittihad's offers to purchase his contract permanently.
