The classic between Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal sparked widespread debate after ending in an exciting 3-3 draw, as referee expert Mohammed Kamal Risha revealed two influential refereeing errors that changed the course of the match.

Risha confirmed in statements to "Al-Riyadiyah" newspaper that Australian referee Ali Reza Faghani made a mistake in awarding Al-Hilal's second goal, in addition to failing to show a red card to Al-Ahli's Brazilian defender Roger Ibanez.

He explained that Al-Hilal's second goal, scored by Malcolm in the 24th minute, was incorrect, as it was preceded by an intervention from his teammate Darwin Nunez on Ibanez in the midfield, which hindered him from controlling the ball.

He added that the video technology should have intervened in this case, by calling the referee to review the incident and determine whether there was a clear foul that warranted the goal's cancellation, instead of allowing the play to continue.

Risha also pointed out that Ibanez, who received a yellow card in the 36th minute, committed another reckless challenge on Al-Hilal's Ruben Neves in the 49th minute, which warranted a second yellow card and his expulsion from the match.

Thus, the referee expert believes that the refereeing errors directly affected the course of the match that took place at the "Al-Inma" stadium in Jeddah, increasing the heated discussion among the fans of both clubs after one of the most thrilling encounters in the league.
