Zakho team achieved an important victory against their guest Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya with a score of 2-1, in the match that brought the two teams together in the second round of the Iraqi Stars League. The win gave the home team a significant morale boost at the start of their journey, while the "Falcons" suffered their first loss of the season.

The match began cautiously from both sides, with a relative advantage for Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, who succeeded in opening the scoring in the 48th minute through player Harith Hatem.

However, the course of the match changed quickly after Tunisian striker Haythem Al-Jouini received a second yellow card and was sent off in the 57th minute, giving the home team a numerical advantage.

Zakho took advantage of the numerical deficiency and pressed on Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya's goal, managing to equalize in the 65th minute through player Amjad Attwan.
