The Spanish Football Federation announced the appointment of referee Juan Martínez to officiate the match between Real Madrid and Espanyol scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium at 5:15 PM Cairo time. Daniel Jesús Trujillo will be responsible for VAR during the match.

Juan Martínez has previously officiated 36 matches for Real Madrid in La Liga, where the team achieved 23 victories, drew eight matches, and lost only five matches. Since 2022, Real Madrid has not lost any La Liga matches with him on the field. Martínez also officiated a previous match between Espanyol and Real Madrid in 2015, which ended in a 4-1 victory for Real Madrid.

As for Espanyol, Juan Martínez has officiated 19 matches in La Liga, where the team achieved eight victories. The last match he officiated for Espanyol was in January 2025, which ended in a 1-1 draw against Leganés.

This match is part of the fifth round of the La Liga season 2025/2026, and Real Madrid hopes to continue leading the table, while Espanyol seeks to strengthen its position among the top teams.
