Real Madrid player Dean Hausen sparked widespread controversy after posting a message on his official Instagram account, in which he criticized the refereeing decisions and disciplinary committees in La Liga.

Hausen had been sent off in his team's match against Real Sociedad in the fourth round of La Liga.

Hausen considered that referee Manzano sent him off unjustly during the match, pointing out that the VAR technology did not intervene to review the incident, which led Real Madrid to play most of the match with ten players.

The player also clarified through his account that the disciplinary committee later acknowledged that the red card was a wrong decision, but despite that, his suspension for one match was upheld, which puzzled and displeased him.

Hausen concluded his message with a sarcastic tone saying: "The mistake was acknowledged, but I am still suspended! A good image for Spanish football."
