Ahmed Al-Jalidan Returns to Al-Ittihad After Recovery

Ahmed Al-Jalidan, the right-back for Al-Ittihad, has successfully completed his rehabilitation program after recovering from a joint injury, making him available for coach Laurent Blanc starting from the upcoming match against Al-Najma in the Roshan League.

A reliable source revealed that the young player participated in group training sessions in recent days, after a long absence that prevented him from appearing in the Saudi Super Cup, as well as in the first two rounds of the league against Al-Akhidood and Al-Fateh.

Al-Jalidan was also unable to participate against Al-Wahda of the UAE in Al-Ittihad's opening match in the AFC Champions League, which ended with the team losing 2-1, increasing the player's desire to return quickly.

Al-Ittihad had signed Al-Jalidan from Al-Fateh during the last summer transfer window, but his joint injury during his previous team's camp forced him to undergo an intensive rehabilitation program before returning to the pitch.

The young right-back shone during his time with Al-Fateh in the 2022-2023 season, where he played six matches, before establishing himself last season by participating in 25 matches, becoming a key player in the lineup.

On the international front, Al-Jalidan represented the Saudi U23 national team in the Toulon International Tournament in France, where he helped the Green reach the final match, enhancing his status as one of the promising talents in Saudi football.
