Liverpool Fan Reveals Details of Incident with Simeone
A Liverpool fan revealed details of the incident that occurred with Atletico Madrid's coach, Diego Simeone, after the match between the two teams, which ended with Liverpool winning 3-2 at Anfield, according to the Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo'.
The fan stated on social media that he did not make any racist or political remarks, denying any mention of the Falklands War, and added: "When Simeone was asked in the press conference about the incident, he did not respond and simply stood there, leaving room for speculation."
The fan added: "I received many messages on all platforms, but I did not say anything other than that I made an offensive gesture towards him."
The fan pointed out another incident during the match, where he directly accused one of Simeone's assistants: "When they scored the equalizer and celebrated in front of us, and we said something like 'f*** you', his assistant came closer and spat in my face."
