Enrique Innovates a New Style in the World of Coaching

Spanish coach Luis Enrique has created a new method for managing matches, during his team's encounter with Paris Saint-Germain against Atalanta, in the first round of the UEFA Champions League, which ended with a 4-0 victory for the Parisian team at the Parc des Princes.

Enrique was present during the first half with the analysts' team in the stands to observe the details from a different angle that gives him a comprehensive view of the events of the match, before returning in the second half to his natural position on the touchline to lead the team directly and communicate closely with the players.

This was not the first time the Spanish coach has adopted this approach, as he previously did so during the match between Saint-Germain and Lens in Ligue 1, which ended with a 2-0 victory for the capital team.

Enrique said after the Lens match: "I have been thinking for a long time about watching the match from the stands, like some rugby coaches do. I can say that the experience was wonderful and different, as I am able to control everything. This is an interesting option I will use in the future. It also gives me the opportunity to lecture at halftime as I have a lot of information."

With this innovative style, Luis Enrique aims to give his team a tactical advantage by combining a broad view from the stands with direct intervention from the sidelines.
