Manchester City Accelerates Steps to Renew Bernardo Silva's Contract
Wednesday 17-09-2025
Manchester City has intensified its negotiations to renew the contract of Portuguese star Bernardo Silva, which expires at the end of the current season, amid fears of him leaving for free at the beginning of the new year.

Silva, who joined from Monaco in 2017, has played over 340 matches with the team, contributing more than 60 goals and 60 assists, and is considered one of Pep Guardiola's key players in midfield and attack.

The Spanish coach has publicly expressed his desire for the player to stay, emphasizing his importance in the club's project, especially in the Champions League.

As January approaches, Silva will have the right to negotiate with foreign clubs, with interest from Benfica and Juventus, which drives City management to try to finalize the renewal as soon as possible.
