The English team Tottenham achieved an important victory over their Spanish guest Villarreal with a score of one goal to none, in the match that took place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as part of the first round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League for the 2025/2026 season.

The only goal of the match came early in the fifth minute, taking advantage of a grave mistake by Villarreal's goalkeeper, giving the home team the advantage in the score from the start of the match.

Villarreal players tried to level the score throughout the match, but to no avail against a solid defensive organization from Tottenham.
