
Yassine Bounou Visits the Historical Exhibition of the Arab Union Celebrating Half a Century
Moroccan Yassine Bounou, goalkeeper for Al Hilal, visited the historical exhibition of the Arab Football Union, which was held in Riyadh to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the union's establishment, coinciding with the convening of its General Assembly.
During his tour, Bounou learned about the most significant milestones documented in the exhibition, including the opening of the first Arab Cup in Taif and the inauguration of the late Prince Faisal bin Fahd of the Arab Union Academy.
The exhibition also showcased the first General Assembly in the union's history, along with a rich collection of historical matches from Arab championships, both at the club and national team levels, in addition to displaying various trophies.
This exhibition will continue to move between upcoming Arab championships, giving fans and enthusiasts the opportunity to learn about the union's legacy and achievements over five decades.
It is noteworthy that the General Assembly of the Arab Union, in its 28th meeting in Riyadh, approved the nomination of Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal as the president of the council for a new term extending from 2025 to 2029.
The new union council also includes prominent names such as Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Hani Abu Rida, Fawzi Al-Qugha, Hashem Haidar, Abdullah Al-Junaibi, Ahmad Yahya, Moatasem Jaafar, alongside Jibril Rajoub representing the State of Palestine, and Samar Nassar for women's membership.
