Zamalek Wants Mahmoud Bentaik to Stay
Media figure Ahmed Shobeir denied that Mahmoud Bentaik, the star of Zamalek, is close to leaving the team after rumors circulated about an offer from a French club to sign him.
Shobeir stated via "On Sport FM" radio that the Zamalek management is keen on keeping the player in the squad and refuses to let him leave.
He explained that the officials of the White Castle consider Bentaik to be one of the key elements, which is why they activated the clause to buy his contract from the French club Saint-Étienne for one million euros.
For his part, the Moroccan star is happy with his experience at Zamalek and refuses to leave.
