The German Matthias Jaissle, the head coach of Al-Ahli Saudi team, has approved the starting lineup for the match against Nasaf Qarshi of Uzbekistan, in the first round of the Asian Champions League elite.

The match will take place at the Al-Inma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, starting this evening, Monday, at 9:15 PM Saudi and Egypt time, and 10:15 PM UAE time.

Al-Ahli enters the match as the defending champion of the last edition of the tournament, aiming for a strong start that puts them on the path of serious competition to retain the Asian title.

Jaissle will rely on a prominent attacking force led by the trio Galeno, Ivan Toney, and Riyad Mahrez, in an attempt to settle the match early against the Uzbek team.

The expected formation for Al-Ahli is as follows: in goal, Edouard Mendy, with a defense line consisting of Matteo Dams, Merih Demiral, Roger Ibanez, and Ali Majrashi.

In midfield, Ziyad Al-Jahani is alongside Franck Kessie and Enzo Milot, while the dangerous attacking trio of Galeno, Ivan Toney, and Riyad Mahrez leads the attack.
