Despite Catastrophic Results, Manchester United Management Continues to Support Amorim
Monday 15-09-2025
The Portuguese Ruben Amorim, the head coach of Manchester United, still enjoys the confidence of the club's management, despite the team's poor start in the current season of the Premier League.

Manchester United fell to their neighbor Manchester City with a score of 3-0 in the city derby, during the fourth round of the league, leaving them with 4 points and in fourteenth place, marking the worst start for the team in the Premier League since the 1992/1993 season, when they collected 4 points from the first 4 matches.

Since taking over the team, Amorim has been unable to achieve positive results, having only garnered 31 points in 31 matches, which is a disappointing tally.

Nonetheless, reports have revealed that his future in the position is not currently threatened, as the management continues to fully support him, especially after the club invested £225.32 million in four signings during the summer transfer window.

Amorim, who is 40 years old, is under contract with Manchester United until 2027, amid the management's hopes for his ability to correct the course.

It is worth noting that United was eliminated early from the EFL Cup after losing to Grimsby Town, a team from the fourth division, leaving the FA Cup as the only opportunity for the team to achieve a title this season, after failing to qualify for any European competition.
