Referee Appointment for Liverpool vs Atletico Madrid in Champions League
The Union of European Football Associations announced the appointment of Italian referee Maurizio Mariani to officiate the match between Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, scheduled to take place on Wednesday evening, as part of the first round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
Referee Maurizio Mariani will lead the match with the assistance of his compatriots Daniele Bindoni and Alberto Tegoni, while Matteo Marcenaro will serve as the fourth official for the game.
UEFA has also assigned the task of managing the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) to Italian Marco Di Bello, who will be assisted by Aleandro Di Paolo in the VAR room.
