
Pyramids Defeats Auckland City in the First Round of the Intercontinental Cup
Pyramids achieved a victory over their New Zealand counterpart Auckland City with a score of 3-0 in a match held on Sunday evening in the first round of the Intercontinental Cup.
Walid El Karti scored Pyramids' first goal in the 14th minute of the match, then Marwan Hamdy added the second goal for the team in the 74th minute, and in the 85th minute, Mustafa Ziko scored the third goal for Pyramids.
Pyramids qualified to participate in the Intercontinental Cup after winning the African Champions League, following their victory over Mamelodi Sundowns in the final match of the tournament.
With this win, the Pyramids team will face the Saudi Al Ahli team, the Asian champion, on September 23rd in the Africa-Asia Pacific Cup.
