Liverpool achieved a thrilling victory against their counterpart Burnley with a score of 1-0 in the fourth round of the English Premier League, at Turf Moor Stadium.

Liverpool raised their points to 12 at the top of the table, while Burnley's points remained at 3 in the seventeenth position.

The first half of the match did not witness many real chances on either goal, and despite the Reds' superiority in terms of possession and control of the ball, they failed to threaten Burnley's goal.

In the second half, the Reds continued their attempts but without any real danger, before Soboslai fired a powerful shot that was saved by the goalkeeper, while Kieza almost snatched the lead with a header but the ball went wide of the goal.

In the 85th minute, Burnley played with ten players after Ogochukwu was sent off with a second yellow card for his tackle on Wirtz, then the Reds were awarded a penalty after a handball by a Burnley player, which Mohamed Salah converted into the winning goal in the 90+5 minute.
