Goalkeeping Crisis Threatens Al-Nassr Before Facing Al-Khulood
Saturday 13-09-2025
Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus of Al-Nassr is facing a real crisis in goalkeeping ahead of the anticipated match against Al-Khulood in the second round of the Roshan Saudi Professional League.

Goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi missed the team's collective training on Saturday evening after tests confirmed he was unfit due to injury, forcing the coaching staff to exclude him from the final list.

The crisis did not stop with Al-Aqidi alone, as it was also decided to exclude the Brazilian international goalkeeper Bento from tomorrow's match, as revealed by journalist Ali Al-Anzi on his account on the platform 'X'.

Jesus is now forced to rely on Raghid Al-Najjar as the main option for goalkeeping against Al-Khulood, a step that poses many challenges for the Al-Nassr team given the importance of the match.

The Portuguese coach also decided to call up defender Abdulilah Al-Amri to the match list, following the failure of his departure from the team during the last summer transfer period.

The match will be hosted at Al-Awwal Park at 9 PM on Sunday, with Al-Nassr entering the match in fifth place with three points, while Al-Khulood is in thirteenth place with no points.
