Mido Addresses Critics of Al-Khatib
Ahmed Hossam Mido, a former member of the planning committee at Zamalek Club, sent a message to critics of Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the president of Al-Ahly Club.
Al-Khatib had announced that he would not run for the upcoming Al-Ahly elections.
Mido said on the platform "X": "It's too early for anyone to predict the scene at Al-Ahly, but surely the simplest thing we can do is respect Captain Al-Khatib's privacy. The man says he is leaving because he is ill and the doctors advised him to step away. I hope there won't be any unnecessary tearing apart or meaningless talk; respect the man's family."
He added: "Once again, no matter how much we disagree with him, he deserves respect. Don't let football make us lose the most important thing... our humanity!!"
