Manchester United Considers Holding Friendly Matches Midweek
Saturday 13-09-2025
Manchester United is considering holding friendly matches during the midweek, following its failure to qualify for any European competition this season, according to reports from the English newspaper Mirror.

This move comes as part of the club's efforts to make up for the absence of the match pressure that continental competitions provide.

According to the report, the United management will seek to choose important clubs in a similar situation, such as AC Milan, Lazio, RB Leipzig, and Sevilla, to face them in friendlies throughout the season.

The idea aims to keep the players in a high competitive atmosphere, especially given the coach's need to maintain the team's rhythm, as well as to test the readiness of the substitute players.

The club also believes that such matches will generate additional income from ticket sales and broadcasting rights, at a time when Manchester United is seeking to recover some of the financial losses resulting from the absence of European competition.
