Monterrey Announces Signing of Martial

Mexican club Monterrey has officially announced its signing of French striker Anthony Martial until December 2027, with an option to extend for an additional season.

Martial, 29 years old, has joined Monterrey from Greek club AEK Athens, after finishing his brief stint in the Greek league, to take on a new challenge in the Mexican league, which has seen an increasing presence of European players in recent years.

According to media reports, the deal is valued at around one million pounds, although the club has not officially disclosed the financial details. Observers believe that Monterrey has taken advantage of the player's contractual situation and his desire to experience something different to secure his services.

Monterrey fans hope that Martial will be a significant addition to the team's attacking line, thanks to his extensive European experience, having previously represented Manchester United in the Premier League, along with his international appearances for the French national team.
