Real Madrid has announced that French star Kylian Mbappe has won the Best Player award for the team for the month of August, following his remarkable performance since the start of the new 2025/2026 season.

Mbappe contributed to the team's achievement of three consecutive victories, having played three matches in August, during which he scored 3 goals, confirming his great value within coach Xabi Alonso's system.

Mbappe said: "Thank you very much to all the fans who voted for me, it’s wonderful to start the season with three goals and three victories, I hope we can continue at this level during September, where we have many matches ahead of us."

He also commented on the upcoming match, stating: "The match against Real Sociedad is always tough, especially at their stadium, but we are well prepared after the international break, and we will try to give our best to make our fans happy, as we always do."

Real Madrid is preparing to face Real Sociedad tomorrow evening, Saturday, in the fourth round of the Spanish league, where the team leads the standings with 9 points, while Real Sociedad occupies the sixteenth place with only 2 points.
