Mamdouh Al-Khatib Apologizes for Not Running in Al-Ahly Elections
Mamdouh Al-Khatib, the president of Al-Ahly Club, has decided not to run in the upcoming club elections.
Al-Khatib has prepared a letter to apologize for not running in the elections.
The text of Al-Khatib's letter to the members of Al-Ahly Club is as follows:
To the esteemed members of the General Assembly:
I would like to thank the members of the Board of Directors of the great Al-Ahly Club for the achievements that have been accomplished during the past period, as what has been achieved is not an individual effort but a collective effort without which the club would not have reached all that it has.
Given my current health condition, which requires complete rest and distancing from pressures, I have decided to leave ample time before the club elections to give an opportunity to those who wish to prepare to run in the elections to serve Al-Ahly Club and its fans.
I have full confidence in the abilities and experiences of all those present to lead Al-Ahly during the upcoming period in my absence from the club, and I trust in their ability to bear the responsibility.
In the end, I can only urge the members of the General Assembly of Al-Ahly Club to support the club, whether in the upcoming General Assembly on September 19 or during the election period.
Goodbye, my home, Al-Ahly Club.
